Public Meeting for Commonwealth Railway Trail Grant Application
The Chesapeake Planning Department will be holding a public information meeting regarding a proposed grant application to develop the Commonwealth Railway Trail in Western Branch within an abandoned railroad right-of-way. The meeting will take place on October 22, 2014 from 6:30 - 8 p.m. at the Taylor Bend YMCA, 4626 Taylor Rd. Chesapeake, VA 23321. All interested parties are encouraged to attend. Chesapeake 55 and Better Comprehensive Plan Public Meetings
The City of Chesapeake is developing a community based plan for services for persons 55+. This plan will serve as a guide for making decisions that will ensure a livable community for all ages. Three community discussion sessions are scheduled for October 21 at the Russel Memorial Library, October 23 at the Indian River Library and October 27 at the Greenbrier Library.
