Free Tax Assistance: The Russell Memorial and South Norfolk libraries have partnered with the AARP to offer FREE tax assistance. Qualifying residents have a low to moderate income, no rental income, no businesses and no business inventories. Check the Chesapeake Library's calendar for sessions being held through the tax season.
The Chesapeake City Council is seeking residents who may be interested in serving on a board or commission - such as the Parks, Recreation and Tourism Advisory Board and Airport Authority. The application deadline is March 31 for a April 24 appointment.
