Commitment to an ADA Compliant Website

The City of Chesapeake home page currently meets Priority 1 accessibility checkpoints established in W3C Web Content Accessibility Guidelines 1.0. Current efforts include a comprehensive site map with text links, alt tags on graphics and photos, and adequate contrast when text is presented on color. The staff that creates and maintains pages on the City of Chesapeake website is committed to developing an ADA Compliant website and is working to improve accessibility throughout the website.
